We founded Jennie's Matters Of The Heart with the idea of bringing our best recipes to the forefront of the Eastern North Carolina soul food movement. We specialize in using fresh ingredients and old fashioned techniques to create home cooked meals that are delicious, healthy and oh so satisfying. We cater/deliver family meals, group events and intimate events. We pool our resources to create awesome meals for medium to large size private and corporate events. We serve Lenoir and surrounding counties.

Meet the Chef
Jennie Waters, owner and operator of Jennie’s Matters Of The Heart, LLC, has a passion for cooking that has manifested itself throughout her life, having worked in the food service industry almost exclusively during her adult life. Mrs. Waters is a graduate of Lenoir Community College culinary school (May 2021) and pastry chef (November 2022). For the past three years she has been developing a viable plan for providing catering services to clients. With skill, attention to detail, experience and compassion for others Mrs. Jennie goes the extra mile to execute a flawless family memory.
